There's a little bit of everything here from the touristy bit, to things that'll help me gain more knowledge about Los Angeles, restaurants, landmarks, etc. So I'll probably keep adding to this list when I come up with new things I discover I want to do. And then once I actually go to a place on my list, I'll update the site with what I actually did! Thank you for coming along on my adventures!

Restaurants

Windows Restaurant

Spago

Canters

Pink

Engine Co. No. 28

Musso & Frank Grill

The Ivy

Thousand Cranes

Dukes

Sidewalk Cafe- 6.15.2003: Steve and I went to the Sidewalk Cafe this morning for breastfast and again, it was just ok. No place I feel as though I have to go back to that's for sure. The coolest thing about this place, though, is that we were able to watch everyone set up on the boardwalk. We couldn't figure out though if you have to be there at a certain time in or if everyone gets the same spot no matter what. But watching the vendors start everything up was pretty interesting. And I think there's going to be a skateboarding contest today.

Fig Tree

Magic Castle

Uncle Bill's Pancake House- 6.14.2003: Great company and a great view but the food was okay. I was definitely expecting a much better selection of pancakes considering it's a pancake house but you get what you get. I ordered the cinnamon apple pancakes which were decent, but that was pretty much as exciting as the menu got. Honestly though, the view was great. The wait wasn't that bad either. And like I said, the company was great. I met up with Emily and Marie- two women I worked with at OutCast so it was well worth it! I don't know as if I'd go back again.

the ice-cream sandwich place in Westood Ariel told me about

Touristy types of things

Santa Monica Pier- at night- 6.7.2003: After a great night at Steve's parent's house, we stopped off at the Santa Monica Pier for a quick ride on the ferris wheel. While it wasn't as romantic as I would have liked, I did have a good time and the views were amazing. Such a great view of the ocean and the beaches. Unfortunately, the scene isn't the safest or the most settling. The pier was crawling with kids who looked like they were looking for trouble, so that wasn't really fun. But overall it was good, and I'd do it again! I can't say the same for Steve though.

Walking Tours in Los Angeles (213-623-2489)

Universal City Walk

Univesal Studios

Disneyland

Hollywood Bus Tours

LA Specific

Flower Mart- downtown

The Fashion District

Santee Alley

The Cathedral

Angel's Flight

The Getty- at night

Griffith Park Zoo

Catalina

Los Angeles Central Library

Union Station

UCLA Campus Tour

St. Elmo's Village

Gene Autry Museum

LACMA

Palos Verdes- 6.8.03: Steve and I decided to take the coastal route down to Seal Beach when we visited his brother's family. We drove through Palos Verdes, which is definitely beautiful and has amazing houses, but I wasn't blown away. I definitely think the weather could have been better, and I'm sure that would have made things seem even more beautiful. Also, we didn't have the time to get out and walk around. You get the sense that there's money there- that's undeniable and obvious. But it's not a warm and inviting place!

Outdoorsy Types of Things

Hike to the Hollywood Sign

Stairs in Santa Monica

Hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains

Westwood Village Walk

Gondola Getaway in Long Beach

Will Rogers State Historic Park

Mulholland Drive

Misc.

Glow in the dark bowling
